HOW TO BOOK:
To reserve your date, a contract must be signed and a retainer must be received. Dates are not held or guaranteed until both are received. If you'd like to reserve your date right away, you can do that first and then we can get a trial scheduled for you. OR...
You can schedule a trial first, in which case you'll have 1 week after your trial to let us know if you would to book. Once you let me know within that timeframe, I will send you the official contract to be initialed and signed, at which time a retainer is due to secure your date. You'll have a grace period of 72 hours to sign the contract and send the retainer once it is received, or you may lose the date, and it will become available to another bride. (Please always check your spam/junk folder, just in case!)
TRIALS:
Although trials are not mandatory, I highly recommend one! Not only do we get to meet each other before your big day, it's also important to talk about what look you want and test it out so we can make sure it's what you are envisioning. After the trial, we can easily make any adjustments needed on your Big Day, so you can feel confident and beautiful! Your wedding day is not the day to take that kind of risk!
Trials generally take an hour and a half to 2 hours. We want to take the time to talk with you about your style and vision to make sure we can figure out the look you want!
I would recommend booking a trial at least 3-6 months before your wedding day. If for some reason we are not a good fit, this will allow enough time for you to look for someone else. Also, makeup artists can get booked quickly, especially during wedding season. If you have a larger bridal party, I may need to bring another artist on to help with extra services, in which case I will need enough time to look for additional artists that are also available your date.
Trials can be booked on weekdays, ideally Mondays and Tuesdays. Occasionally, we can schedule trials on weekends if I/we do not already have a wedding booked. We have a lot more availability during off-season which is generally November - February.
We can come to you for trials, if you are located within 20 miles of our base in Camarillo, Ca 93012. Or you can come to us at a studio in Camarillo.
WEDDING DAY TIMELINE:
After you book, we can start making a getting ready timeline! You will need to let me know, as soon as possible, the total number of services needed, as well as what time you need all services to be done by. You may need to talk with your photographer about this if you are doing getting ready/first look photos. It is important for all makeup and/or hair services to be done (including touch ups) by the time the photographer arrives to take photos of you and your bridal party. I would recommend figuring out that time with your photographer and we can go backwards from there to create timeline. I never schedule makeup last for the bride and in some cases hair as well, as we never want the chance of the bride to be feeling rushed. A lot of people tend to need your attention closer to the end, which can disrupt your service/s.
Here's how I make the schedule:
-15 - 30 minutes for setup
- 45 minutes to 1 hour for each bridal party makeup
-1 hour to 1.5 hours for the bride
- 15-30 minutes for touch ups at the end of all services (includes lip touch ups, light powdering, setting spray, etc.)
*Please let me know the total number of services, and the time all services need to be done by as soon as you can. I need ample time to see if we need to bring another artist on to help if it is a larger bridal party. It's also good for you to know the timeline as soon as possible, so you and your bridal party, as well as other vendors can plan accordingly.
GETTING READY LOCATION:
Many venues don't give you access to their bridal suite until late morning. Please check with your venue. In many cases, if may not work for us to start hair and makeup that late.
TRAVEL:
Please let me know at time of inquiry your getting ready location, so I can give you a travel fee quote, if required. Travel fee is included within 25 miles of our base in Camarillo, Ca 93012. Anything outside of that will incur a fee for each individual artist. Travel pricing can vary depending on location. We take into consideration our time, gas, and possible traffic conditions to and from that location.
